Hi, I am Sherry!

My journey into floral design was sparked by my love for watercolor painting, a passion I discovered while growing up in Asia. Surrounded by a culture focused on science, I found solace and creativity in the world of watercolors.

It was here that I first learned the art of storytelling through visuals – mastering color harmony, balance, and composition. These foundational principles seamlessly translated into my passion for floral design.

While my path initially led me to a career in healthcare finance, it unexpectedly gifted me with attention to detail, patience, and precision – qualities that have proven invaluable in my floral endeavors. Fueling my creativity is my love for travel, which not only inspires me but also broadens my artistic perspective.

New York City is like my second home. I've lived here for quite a while, soaking up its energy and learning the ins and outs of the event scene. I'm excited to share some insider tips with you as we embark on this beautiful journey together.

Our Studio

Yours Truly Flowers is a New York-based floral design studio creating artful, intentional arrangements for weddings and intimate gatherings. Our name carries the Chinese word 初见 — the fleeting, irreplaceable feeling of encountering something truly beautiful for the first time. That feeling is what we design toward, every time.

 

Our Style

Our designs are often inspired by Ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arrangement rooted in negative space, asymmetry, and quiet intention. Each arrangement is shaped not just by what is added, but by what is left out. The result is work that feels alive, unforced, and entirely its own.

We believe beautiful things should not cost the earth. Every arrangement we create is 100% foam-free, and we source with sustainability in mind at every step. Caring for flowers and caring for the environment are, to us, the same commitment.
